Three medical equipment manufacturers fined for bid-rigging and cartelization

 |  April 24, 2012

The Competition Commission of India has fined three medical equipment manufacturers for bid-rigging and cartelization. PES Installations, MDD Medical System and Medical Product Services were fined a combined Rs 3 crore, approximately 5 percent of their annual turnover.

An investigation revealed abnormally identical bids for the procurement of modular operation theatre, and other equipment.
