U.S.: Baer confirmed as DOJ antitrust head, Wright as new FTC Commissioner

Congress has officially confirmed William Baer to head of the Justice Department’s antitrust division, while the Senate unanimously voted Joshua Wright as new FTC Commissioner three days later. William Baer, who was named by the National Law Journal as one of the “Decade’s Most Influential Lawyers” in 2010, was confirmed by a Senate vote of 64-26 after a congressional stall for much of 2012.
