According to a press release by the Office of Fair Trading, three new individuals have been named into high-level positions at the office to work in cartels, criminal enforcement, policy and consumer credit. Stephen Blake has been chosen as Senior Director of Cartels and Criminal Enforcement in a temporary promotion. Blake first began working at the OFT in 1998. Second, Sheldon Mills has been appointed as Senior Director of Policy, also on temporary promotion. Mills will focus on the watchdog’s competition, markets and consumer policy work. He jointed the OFT in 2010. Lastly, David Fisher has been named as the new Senior Director of Consumer Credit and Anti-Money Laundering, also on temporary promotion. After more than a a decade with the UK’s Competition Commission, Fisher joined the OFT in 2011.
