Quinn Emanuel has kicked off a new competition practice in London with its latest hire, according to reports.
The firm has recruited litigator Boris Bronfentrinker from Hausfeld to launch the new location. Quinn Emanuel managing partner John Quinn said the firm is opening a competition firm in response to the increased competition litigation across the EU.
”Antitrust litigation has always been a significant part of our practice in the United States. More recently, it has become a growing part of our practice internationally. This is particularly true in the EU, where the regulators are increasingly active,” he said.
According to reports, Bronfentrinker joined the firm on Monday. Before joining Hausfeld, the lawyer worked at Freshfields’ competition practice. His clients have included Deutsche Bahn, Samsung Electronics and Visa Europe, say reports.
