The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, along with the Serious Fraud Office, have reportedly teamed up in efforts to curb cartel abuse.
According to an announcement by the CMA, the regulators have signed a memorandum of understanding that allows the regulators to jointly “investigation and/or prosecute individuals in respect of the criminal cartel offense” as legally outlined.

The CMA launched operations last month after the former Competition Commission and Office of Fair Trading were merged.
