US: Dollar Tree-Family Dollar deal gets FTC approval

 |  July 2, 2015

Dollar Tree Inc. won US antitrust approval for its plan to buy Family Dollar Stores Inc. after reaching a settlement to sell 330 stores to Sycamore Partners.

“This settlement will ensure that consumers will continue to benefit from competition among their local dollar stores,” said Debbie Feinstein, director of the commission’s competition bureau.
