A former commissioner for the Federal Trade Commission will reportedly join law firm BakerHostetler to head the firm’s privacy and data protection unit, according to reports.
Pamela Jones Harbour served at the FTC from 2003 through 2010, focusing on antitrust cases and consumer protection. Now, she will become a partner at BakerHostetler’s antitrust practice, both in Washington, D.C. and New York.
Harbour was awarded the Champion of Freedom Award for her consumer protection efforts while at the FTC in 2010.
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Harbour served at the FCC. In addition, the original article in The Hill on which this brief is based incorrectly stated that Harbour served at the FTC until 2009.
