US: Goldman’s investment banking Chairman Dyal to leave firm Goldman Sachs Group Inc., the top merger adviser in 2014, said investment-banking co-Chairman Gordon E. Dyal will leave after 16 years at the firm.
Dyal, a co-chairman of Goldman’s investment-banking division and a member of its firmwide management committee, is retiring after 16 years there, according to a memo distributed internally Monday that was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
“During his career, Gordon has played a critical role in building our Investment Banking franchise, helping to establish the firm’s leadership position across many markets,” Goldman Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein and President Gary Cohn wrote in the memo.
