Hausfeld announced Tuesday that it is expanding its Antitrust/Competition and Commercial and Financial Services Litigation groups with the hiring of a former judge.
Former US District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia, Walter DeKalb Kelley, Jr., will join Hausfeld as partner in Washington, D.C.
Kelley was first nominated to serve as a federal judge in 2003, say reports; he was confirmed in early 2004. Meanwhile, he also taught antitrust at Regent University Law School.
In 2008 he became partner at Jones Day, focusing on antitrust matters.
Hausfeld Chairman Michael Hausfeld said Judge Kelley “has an impeccable reputation” in his work in competition matters.
