eBay Moves Toward 3-D Commerce

EBay has announced a new iPhone application that lets users buy 3-D printed products, Mobile Commerce Daily reported. The move is seen as the first step by the online marketplace in creating a separate service for this market.

EBay partnered with 3-D printing companies Hot Pop Factory, MakerBot and Sculpteo for the launch.
