Cornerstone Research has added two new principals to its European practice with Maria Maher and Vivek Mani both joining the consultancy’s London office.
Maria Maher has more than 20 years of international experience as an economist, specialising in competition and regulatory matters. She consults on complex issues related to abuse of dominance, cartels, mergers, market investigations, contracts and damages – her expertise spans financial services, chemicals, energy, retail, transport, telecommunications and water among others.
Maher joins Cornerstone Research from CEG Europe, where she was a partner and senior adviser. Prior to that, she worked in the Competition Economics service line within KPMG’s Economics & Disputes practice in London, at AlixPartners in the firm’s Competition Policy wing and at NERA Economic Consulting, the economics consultancy of Marsh & McLennan Companies, also the parent of Oliver Wyman and Mercer. Maher started her career at the OECD, where she spent ten years working across a variety of economist roles.
