EU: Soames leaves Shearman to start antitrust Boutique

Soames, antitrust partner with Shearman & Sterling LLP has left the firm’s Brussels office to start his own boutique practice.

    Trevor Soames said his new firm, SoamesAntitrust, will also be based in Brussels. He is still considering whether to incorporate his new practice into an existing firm’s structure or to build it from the ground up.

    His departure marks the latest European exit from the storied New York firm, although two other Brussels-based partners will remain at Shearman.
