France: Bruno Lasserre leaving Competition Authority

After heading France’s Competition Authority for the past 12 years, Bruno Lasserre has announced that he will step down by October.

    Reportedly, Lasserre informed former minister of economy in July of his desire to leave and told the minister of finance and economy this month.

    Lasserre has been appointed to his current position three times and was set to end his current term in February of 2019.
