TV Azteca was the winner in a 2013 contest, gaining the rights to build and operate the optic fibre network, which will aim to provide communications services to around 80% of Perú’s territory.

The project’s development will be partially backed by the Government, which will provide funding for the network and award a 20 year operating license. TV Azteca will offer services over this network, covering up to 339 population centers.
