US: AA, US Airways loyalty programs to merge ‘within 30 days’

American Airlines says it will combine its frequent-flier program with that of US Airways within the next 30 days.

    That means the end of US Airways’ Dividend Miles program, a casualty of the 2013 merger of the two airlines.

    American Airlines Group Inc. notified customers by email Friday that it will soon begin transferring US Airways miles and elite-status-qualifying activity to American’s AAdvantage program.
