Norway: Leading cable cos ordered to end bundling practices

Norway officials have demanded that the nation’s two leading cable operators end their practice of bundling broadband services with TV subscriptions, say reports.

    The nation’s Forbrukerombudet has reportedly sent a letter to industry leaders Telenor and GET demanding that they end the practice. Both companies reportedly deny any wrongdoing and challenge the notion that such bundling is against the law.

    Reports say bundling in the broadband industry is commonplace throughout the EU.
