US: Senate antitrust chief Klobuchar to examine contact lens market

    Klobuchar, the chairman of the Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee, and Lee, a ranking member of the committee, have planned a hearing for Wednesday after an inquiry revealed that lens manufacturers are implementing unilateral price policies, which are rules that require retailers to sell lenses at a set price.

    Reports say the hearing will examine whether these policies are anticompetitive.
