Law firm Leob & Leob LLP announced Monday that David Newman will join the firm’s Patent Litigation and Counseling Practice, reports say.
Newman will join the firm in Chicago as senior counsel. Previously, the lawyer was at Arnstein & Lehr at its Intellectual Property Practice.
Reports say Newman has more than two decades of experience in the field of intellectual property, patents, copyright and more. His repertoire includes cases regarding unfair trade practices, foreign patents and antitrust, and has handled cases before the US patent and Trademark Office.
Among his most notable roles includes his position as co-founder and co-chair of the American Bar Associations committee aimed at establishing best practices regarding standard essential patent disputes.
