Turkey: Coca Cola under fire for exclusive dealing

Turkish regulators are cracking down on Coca Cola Turkey, reports say, following allegations the company made exclusivity agreements with sellers in violation of competition law.

    The Turkish Competition Authority launched an investigation into the matter, the regulator announced late last week. The probe follows a complaint lodged with regulators that the company, the top soft drink supplier in the nation, made exclusive agreements with certain sale points, particularly in some of the country’s largest cities.

    Details of those alleged exclusivity agreements were not reported.
