The UK’s new Competition and Markets Authority, set to absorb the current Office of Fair Trading and Competition Commission, announced its first wave of director-level appointments on Wednesday.
The appointments include Carmel Flatley, the new Director of Human Resources; Paul Latham, Director of Strategy; Communications and Devolved Nations, and Rebecca Lawrence, Director of Finance and Commercial.
The CMA announced a total of seven new director-level appointments, all of whom will report to Executive Director of Corporate Services Erik Wilson.
In a statement, CMA Chief Executive Alex Chisholm said the appointments are “another important stepping stone in the creation of the new authority,” which is set to formally begin operations in April of next year.
