Tanzania’s Fair Competition Commission is currently investigating a beer conglomerate over its exclusive rights to import and distribute Windhoek beers, a case that took a new turn last week as the regulator ordered the company, Mabibo Beers, to stop issuing information about those rights.
In a media advertisement, the watchdog reportedly ordered Mabibo to stop “issuing announcements, notices, press interviews” and other “deceptive information” regarding the case as the exclusive deals are being investigated.
