US: Lawyer from closed DOJ office joins GeyerGorey LLP

Joan Marshall, a former prosecutor at the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division field office in Dallas, has signed on to join white collar defense law firm GeyerGrye LLP and will open an office in the Texas city. Marshall’s career change is the result of the closing of the DOJ’s Dallas office, along with three others, earlier this year in efforts to save money. She had worked as a trial attorney for more than 15 years at the DOJ Dallas office. In a statement, Marshall said she is pleased she will be working with long-term colleagues. The firm includes all but one attorney coming as a former DOJ prosecutor, according to reports.
