Germany: Vodafone’s Kabel Deutschland buyout planned for October approval

The world’s second-largest wireless operator Vodafone Group Plc said it plans to finalize its buyout of Kabel Deutschland Holding following shareholder approval at Kabel Deutschland’s annual meeting scheduled in October, said sources. Reports say the planning suggests Vodafone is confident in regulatory approval and a relatively simple merger process. The unnamed sources said Vodafone plans to submit its final buyout bid by the end of July; representatives for both parties declined to comment on the acquisition’s timetable, say reports.
