Italy: Regulators looking into car insurers’ alleged collusion

Antitrust regulators in Italy have announced the opening of a probe of several car insurers for possible collusion, according to a statement from the competition watchdog. The authority said insurer Assicurazioni Generali and seven other companies will be investigated for allegations of price-fixing automobile insurance as well as other damage protection products. Further details were not immediately available.
