US: Auto parts execs admit to price-fixing, will serve jail time

Two Japanese executives of car parts maker Denso Corp have plead guilty to charges of price-fixing and will serve jail time in the US, according to the US Department of Department. The executives, Yuki Suzuki and Hirohsi Watanabe, have also agreed to fully cooperate with the DOJ’s ongoing investigation into the matter. Suzuki and Watanabe will pay a criminal fine on top of their jail sentence; in January of last year Denso was fined $78 million for the collusion after also pleading guilty to price-fixing charges.
