Canada: Former Nestle CEO remains under watch for alleged price-fixing scheme

While a March statement made by the Competition Bureau in the Ontario Court of Appeal vowed to bring action against former president and CEO of Nestlé Canada Inc. for alleged price-fixing, charges remain unfiled. The former CEO, Robert Leonidas, who remained in his position between 2006 and 2010, is still held under scrutiny, however, along with others as part of a Competition Bureau probe into the company that began in 2007. The case specifically focused on Leonidas’s alleged involvement in a price-fixing conspiracy of chocolate confectionery.
