The Comisión Nacional de la Competencia (CNC) has brought infringement proceedings against Praxair España S.L, Carburos Metálicos S.A. and Heineken España S.A. for price-fixing, market allocating, and the exchange of information on the market for the production and distribution of alimentary carbon dioxide.
The Spanish Association of CO2 Distributors had filed a complaint with the CNC. Upon preliminary investigation, the CNC found prima facie evidence of an anticompetitive agreement between the three companies.
