DOJ probing cable companies for limiting Netflix, Hulu competition, acc. to WSJ

The DOJ is probing Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and other cable companies to see if they have acted to place limits on competition posed by streaming online video, the Wall Street Journal reports. Such online content provided by companies such as Netflix and Hulu–who have been questioned, according to sources–pose a cheaper alternative to cable services. Ways in which the cable companies could interfere with online video are by “setting data caps [and] limiting the amount a subscriber can download each month.”
