
The Investigation and Prosecution Service of the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) has approved on 26 June 2020 the concentration by which RCM Belgique SA acquires sole control over Car & Truck Charleroi SA.
RCM Belgique is part of the French group RCM. It is active in Belgium in the retail trade of new and usedMercedes, Nissan and Toyota motor vehicles through its subsidiary Saga-Piret. It also offers maintenance and repair, bodywork and spare parts distribution services in the dealerships where it operates.
Car & Truck Charleroi is a subsidiary of COFINPAR SCA. It is active in Belgium in the retail trade of new and used Mercedes motor vehicles. It also offers maintenance and repair, bodywork and distribution of Mercedes brand spare parts services.
In its decision of 26 June 2020, the BCA finds that the conditions for the application of the simplified procedure are met and that the notified merger does not raise any objections.
