
Bulgaria’s Nova Broadcasting owned by locally-registered Advance Media Group, is seeking regulatory approval to acquire four local radio and TV operators, the competition regulator stated on Tuesday, September 1.
Nova Broadcasting Group is seeking to buy Elit Media Bulgaria, which operates TV channel Kanal 3; Radio Veselina, which runs music TV channel The Voice and radio station Veselina; Radio Ekspres, the operator of The Voice Radio; and Vitosha FM, which operates Vitosha Radio, Magic FM, and Magic TV, the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) announced in a notice.
According to the CPC, the deals are expected to affect the television and television advertising markets in the country.
Interested parties have until September 8 to file their statements regarding the transactions, the competition watchdog stated.
