Germany/U.S.: Bayer HealthCare to Buy Teva Animal Health Business

Bayer HealthCare, a Germany Headquarter Chemical Company, is buying Teva Pharmaceuticals, a US-based animal health business, for USD 60 million up front, plus up to USD 85 million in manufacturing and sales milestones. Bayer HealthCare maintains taking on Teva’s the animal health operation will allow the expansion of its companion (pet food) and food animal product lines in the U.S., including the introduction of anti-infective and reproductive hormones. The Teva business will be integrated into Bayer’s own animal health business.
