    Rarely do two sides win after a bruising legal war. But resolution of the case between Apple Inc. and Qualcomm comes pretty close.

    Of course much depends on the details, which weren’t available at press time. The two companies issued a brief joint statement Tuesday afternoon that they have struck a deal to end all litigation. The deal includes a six-year licensing agreement, a multiyear chipset supply agreement and a payment from Apple to Qualcomm. Neither company commented further on the matter.
