Italy: Insurance companies may have rigged bids in public transit deals

The nation’s antitrust authority has announced a probe into several insurance companies over possible antitrust violations in the companies’ practices of supplying coverage to public transport agencies. The companies are accused of rigging bids for the transit agencies to choose insurers, allegations that stem from 2005 onward. Four insurance agencies are currently under review.
