The Spanish regulator CNMC has launched a public consultation in which it proposes a methodology to analyze if Telefónica’s business offers can be replicated by other operators.
In a statement, it says that this is the first time it has developed a methodology for the analysis of business offers, though in recent years it has analysed the economic replicability of several of them.
CNMC also notes that it is the first European regulator to publish such a proposal.
According to the CNMC, Telefónica must offer prices that allow alternative operators to replicate their business products to ensure that there is no distortion of competition in the market.
