Report: 40 Percent Of Retailers Lacked Online Fraud Prevention Strategies In 2012

Forty percent of U.S. retailers had no online fraud prevention strategies in 2012, according to a ThreatMetrix report.

The most common online attacks experienced by retailers were malware, Trojan and phishing attacks. Revenue losses due to online fraud attacks amounted to nearly $3.5 billion in North America in 2012, as The Paypers notes.
