Nets To Purchase Finnish Payment Service Provider

Nets, a payments company owned by Danish and Norwegian banks, has agreed to acquire leading Finnish card payment service provider Luottokunta. The acquisition will bring Nets “vital competencies that will strengthen its position in the Finnish market, as well as in Europe as a whole,” CEO of Nets, Mette KamsvÃ¥g, told Finextra. The deal is currently subject to the Finnish regulatory authorities, and a decision is pending a general meeting of Nets’ shareholders.
