Miguel Celedón, executive president of Corporación GPF, which controls the Sofocar brands, said the company was acquired by owning valuable and recognized brands for the Ecuadorian public. The opening of these new pharmacies would make the group, now integrated into the Mexican company Femsa, the second largest group of pharmacies in Ecuador.

“The projects we have in Ecuador… we can do it because there is good human capital, because they have understood our business model, we are going to take advantage of the opportunities…” the executive said. GPF runs 614 pharmacies in more than 100 cities in the 24 provinces that make up Ecuador.
