Hong Kong: Government announces latest Competition Commission appointment

To fill the vacancy left by Larry Kwok Lam-kwong, Albert Wong Kwai-huen has been appointed to the Hong Kong Competition Commission, according to a press release.

    His appointment as a member of the Commission became effective June 1. There are 13 total members of the Commission.

    Competition officials in Hong Kong are currently gearing up for the implementation of the overhauled competition regime; Chairperson Anna Wu Hung-yuk has recently discussed with reporters how the regulator will tackle the new law, and noted that price-fixing and cartel behavior will be at the top of authorities’ priorities.
