Norway: Officials ready for spectrum auction

Norwegian regulators have reportedly opened registration for the government’s upcoming spectrum auction, reports say.

    The Norwegian Post & telecoms Authority confirmed to media that its is on-track with its timetable for the auction, setting a deadline of mid-November for potential participants to register.

    The auction is scheduled for December 2.

    The auction is part of government efforts to ensure all households have access to basic broadband services.

    According to reports, the winner of the upcoming auction will be required to offer a minimum speed of services within five years of obtaining the spectrum.
