Brazil: Joint venture creates new travel conglomerate

A joint venture between US-based BCD Travel and Brazil-based Avipam has established a new company, to be based in Brazil, say reports.

    The company will also be called BCD Travel.

    Reports say the original BCD Travel owns a controlling stake in the new company, though declined to disclose financial details of the agreement.

    A spokesperson for the company did note, however, that the original BCD Travel held a “small stake” in Avipam already.
