An analysis of the nation’s antitrust authorities has resulted in the opinion that there is a positive correlation between the development and implementation of competition policy, and the creation of jobs. According to one analysis, the successful implementation of an antitrust authority in a society can have significant positive impacts on that society yet not be overwhelmed with an unachievable enforcement agenda. This, says the author, can be seen as “embedded autonomy,” and can aid the job market by providing a positive growth trajectory, enforcing innovation and, of course, improving competition for the success of businesses.
