Malaysia: Second committee meeting focuses on broadcasting, financial sectors

MyCC, Malaysia’s recently instated antitrust authority, held its second meeting for its Special Committee on Competition to discuss antitrust issues within the nation’s broadcasting and financial sectors. MyCC chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Siti Norma Yaakob said in a speech that the meeting had the purpose of enabling companies within the sectors to “draw a framework of cooperation.” The Committee is made up of representatives from various sectoral regulators, including the Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission, Energy Commission, and the Central Bank of Malaysia.
