A federal appeals court has rejected Verizon’s challenge to a Federal Communications Commission rule requiring major players in the wireless telecom sector to allow smaller operators to use their networks. The rule is aimed at increasing competition within the sector, but Verizon called the requirement “unwanted government intervention.” In efforts to challenge the rule, Verizon was shut down by a three-judge panel who ruled that the FCC has the authority to enforce it.
