Canada: Minister of Industry announces interim Commissioner

The Minister of Industry announced John Pecman will take over as interim Commissioner of Competition for up to a one-year term before a permanent Commissioner is decided within the coming months, according to a press release from the Minister of Industry. Pecman has held previous positions as Bureau investigator and senior manager, as well as the former position of Senior Deputy Commissioner. He replaced Melanie Aitken, who held the position for three years.
