U.K.: Anticipated Vodafone and Telefónica joint venture under review

Vodafone and Telefónica, both global network operators, have intended to form a new joint venture labeled Towerco. The joint venture is currently under review by the Office of Fair Trade (OFT). According to the OFT report, Towerco will be responsible for the management of a single, optimized grid of base station sites, including liaising with landlords and decommissioning or acquiring sites.
