Meat regulation reformer Butler to step down next week

The head of the Grain Inspection Packers and Stockyards Administration, J. Dudley Butler, will step down next week. Butler was appointed by President Obama in May 2009. He has played a central role in efforts to pass antitrust regulation to reform the meat packing industry on behalf of small farmers and ranchers.
