Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has recently announced the return of Neely Agin to its ranks as the US head of antitrust. Agin, who previously served as a partner at the firm’s Washington, DC office from 1997 to 2018, brings a wealth of experience and expertise in navigating the complexities of antitrust and competition law.
Agin’s expertise lies in guiding companies through the merger review and clearance processes, as well as other antitrust investigations conducted by key regulatory bodies such as the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). She is known for her adeptness in helping clients mitigate antitrust risks, particularly in the context of M&A transactions.
Spanning over two decades, Agin’s career has seen her handling antitrust matters across diverse sectors including retail, energy, and healthcare. Her portfolio encompasses a wide array of issues ranging from contracting practices and distribution restrictions to joint ventures and pricing strategies. Additionally, she has been instrumental in delivering compliance training and spearheading the development of antitrust compliance programs for clients on a global scale.
Jeff Cody, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US managing partner, expressed his confidence in Agin, highlighting her remarkable track record in advising clients on complex antitrust matters. “Neely is a leader with an impressive track record of advising clients on complex antitrust matters. She made valuable contributions to our firm for two decades,” said Cody.
Robin Adelstein, global head of antitrust and competition at Norton Rose Fulbright, echoed Cody’s sentiments, emphasizing Agin’s invaluable contributions to the firm’s growth. “Neely has significant experience representing clients in merger reviews and other antitrust investigations conducted by the DOJ, FTC, and state attorneys general, which will benefit our clients substantially,” said Adelstein. “Clients love working with Neely, and I’m eager to collaborate with her again as we continue to grow our antitrust practice both in the US and globally.”
