On March 5, President Joe Biden established the Strike Force on Unfair and Illegal Pricing, in line with his Executive Order on Promoting Competition in the American Economy issued on July 9, 2021. Co-chaired by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission, its mission is to enhance collaborative efforts across agencies to combat unjust corporate practices that drive up prices for American households through anti-competitive, unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent means.
