Today, Broadcom, a global tech leader, announced the successful closure of its $69 billion acquisition of VMware, Inc., a key player in virtualization software. Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP, serving as global lead antitrust counsel to VMware, facilitated the process by securing regulatory clearances in over 10 jurisdictions.
Axinn’s 18-month effort, in collaboration with global co-counsel at Gibson Dunn, navigated VMware through rigorous reviews, including a Second Request review by the Federal Trade Commission in the U.S. and clearances from the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the Korea Fair Trade Commission, and others.
