The CPI Team is happy to enter an exciting new chapter, as we join forces with long-time collaborators at PYMNTS.com.
On Tuesday October 26th, PYMNTS completed its acquisition of Competition Policy International (CPI). PYMNTS is a global leader for data, news, and insights on innovation in payments and the platforms powering the connected economy.
The acquisition will help reinforce PYMNTS’ coverage of TechREG news and information as jurisdictions worldwide tackle the regulation of digital businesses across the connected economy, including questions pertaining to BigTech, FinTechs, crypto, healthcare, social media, AI, privacy, and more.
“There is a dearth of thoughtful, balanced discourse on competition policy and technology policy in the media today,” says Karen Webster, PYMNTS CEO, “and both have the potential to either foster or derail the future of the connected economy. Just as PYMNTS changed the conversation about payments innovation when we launched in 2009, we’ll use our platform assets and the impressive CPI team to do the very same thing with antitrust and digital technology regulation.”
By joining forces with PYMNTS, CPI will broaden its reach, through their incredible media platform, and expand the scope of analysis and discussions beyond antitrust-related issues to include TechREG news and information.
